Russian min says no Gazprom request not to pay 50% in divs
MOSCOW, Apr 27 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Energy Ministry has not received any requests from gas giant Gazprom to be excluded from a recent rule obliging state companies to pay 50% of a net profit in dividends for 2015, Minister Alexander Novak told reporters Wednesday.
“At least I do not know about it, we did not receive such proposals at our ministry,” he said.
He said the company can send such proposals both to the Energy Ministry and the Economic Development Ministry, as well as to the government.
According to the ruling recently signed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, a state company should take the highest figure of its net profit – under Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) or under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) – and allocate no less than 50% of the net profit for dividends.
